MD Helicopters 969 Combat Helicopter

MD Helicopters approached us to shoot and edit this release video for Heli-Expo where they announced the military variant of the already popular 900 series helicopter. There were multiple challenges with this project, the biggest being the helicopter was not air-worthy at the time of filming so we were asked to try and make it so people didn’t think about the fact that they never saw the helicopter in the air during the video.

We shot this using our RED Epic MX camera and old ContaxZeiss lenses. We were allowed to fly our FreeFly Systems ALTA-8 inside one of MD’s hangers to capture some unique perspectives of the helicopter.
